Terms of sale

Article 1 — Seller and scope
These general terms of sale apply to all orders placed on altaateliers.com by consumers. The seller is Rochebrune Investments, SASU with share capital of €5,000, RCS Lyon, operating the Alta brand, 45 avenue du 8 mai 1945, 69160 Tassin-la-Demi-Lune, France — SIREN 100 443 480 — VAT FR49100443480 — contact@altaateliers.com.
Placing an order implies acceptance of these terms, in the version in force on the day of the order. Professional orders (hotels, architects, companies) may be subject to specific terms on quotation.
Article 2 — Products
Alta offers topographic illustrations printed on fine art paper, sold unframed or framed in the formats shown on each product page. Each illustration is printed to order in our studio.
Photographs and visuals are as accurate as possible. Colours may however vary slightly depending on the screen used.
Custom-made creations (custom location, framing, route or text) are produced after the customer has approved a preview.
Article 3 — Prices
Prices are shown in euros, including all taxes (VAT included), excluding delivery costs. Delivery costs are shown before the order is confirmed. The price charged is the one displayed at the time of the order.
Article 4 — Orders
The customer selects products, checks the order details and total price, then confirms and pays. The sale is concluded upon receipt of the order confirmation email. Alta reserves the right to refuse an order in the event of a previous dispute or suspected fraud.
Article 5 — Payment
Payment is made online when ordering, using the methods offered on the checkout page (bank card and other methods displayed). Transactions are secured by our payment provider; Alta never has access to your bank details.
Article 6 — Delivery
Alta delivers to mainland France and the European Union. Orders ship within 3 business days and are delivered within 7 days maximum in France and 10 days maximum in the European Union. Detailed rates and times are set out in our shipping policy.
If the delivery time is exceeded, the customer may, after asking Alta to deliver within a reasonable additional period, terminate the contract and obtain a refund, in accordance with Articles L216-6 et seq. of the French Consumer Code.
The risk of loss or damage passes to the customer when they take physical possession of the order (Article L216-4 of the French Consumer Code). The customer is invited to check the parcel on delivery and report any damage within 7 days.
Article 7 — Right of withdrawal
The customer has 14 days from receipt to withdraw, without giving any reason. Return and refund procedures are set out in our return policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.
In accordance with Article L221-28 3° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to custom-made creations produced to the customer's specifications.
Article 8 — Legal guarantees
All products benefit, independently of the right of withdrawal, from:
- the legal guarantee of conformity (Articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code): the customer has 2 years from delivery to obtain repair or replacement of a non-conforming product, or failing that a refund;
- the guarantee against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code): the customer has 2 years from discovery of the defect.

Article 9 — Intellectual property
Purchasing an illustration gives the customer ownership of the printed copy, for personal use. It does not transfer any right of reproduction or commercial exploitation of the work, which remains the exclusive property of Alta.
Article 10 — Personal data
Data collected when ordering is necessary to process the order. It is processed in accordance with our privacy policy.

These terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable settlement, disputes will be brought before the competent courts under the conditions provided by law; consumers may in particular bring proceedings before the courts of their place of residence.
