Tour du Mont-Blanc and Its Region
The Tour du Mont-Blanc from above. 165 km and 10,115 metres of elevation gain completing the full circuit of the massif across France, Italy and Switzerland.
The trail traces a loop around Mont Blanc (4,810 m), passing through the iconic stages: Les Houches and Chamonix at the start, the Col de la Croix du Bonhomme, the Col de la Seigne marking the Italian border, Courmayeur and the Bertone refuge, the Grand Col Ferret in Switzerland, Champex-Lac, Trient, Vallorcine and the Brévent before returning to Chamonix. Alta's vertical contour lines reveal the vertiginous relief of the massif — glaciers, ridges and deep valleys — which the trail encircles in 7 to 10 days of hiking.
